I took my time, but I still had to wait for her to get back. Turns out she didn't have a housekey, so she had come back to get it... ;_;
Half an hour later, we could finally pay for the groceries. My back was seriously hurting by then, from standing around and sitting in the uncomfortable chairs of the coffee corner. And they didn't even have free tea! Tsss....
Back home, we did some dishes -- standing around while doing this wasn't really helpful for my back either. Highpoint of the day, however, was finding a package from velveteencat in the mail! It was the FLCL T-shirt that she got me, and all I had to do was point her to BitTorrent and a few tracker sites! If you need any help with anything like that again, be sure to drop me a line, velveteencat!
Today, I played D&D at our place. jangerben had dropped from the group, because he didn't really enjoy the hack&slash style of the campaign. It certainly could be better, but hanging out with these guys is pretty fun. They're pretty funny at times, and the atmosphere is pretty relaxed.
We almost did die, though... I was at -9 HPs, and so was the priest... We need better tactics against the bugbear. I did manage to fetch a reasonable price from the major's wife when selling some statuettes, so not all was lost.
I always feel kind of guilty when I participate in an activity that doesn't involve klik at our place. I mean, it's her house too, and she is severly restricted in her activities while we are playing. She used the time to start working on yukata's, though, and she said she didn't mind. Still, I don't want things like this to happen too often.
Tomorrow, I'll go have dinner over at jangerben's place and play chess afterwards. I might take fnefatafl along with me -- it's the kind of game he would enjoy, I think.
On a side-note, WTF is up with people being pissed off at the US for instating a draft? Have you people forgotten it wasn't too long ago that the Netherlands had a draft too? There's nothing inherently evil to the draft, not even when it's the US that instates it.
