In the old church of Goes, there's an exhibit of merklappen, embroidery
testing sheets. This one tells the story of a factory bakery! The oldest one
we saw was from 1748.

We saw that exhibition too, when we were in Zeeland last week. I liked the really old ones, but overall, it was a little too much of the same for me.

Some were pretty similar, but others (like this one, and the one made after the '53 flood) were really unique.

I've done some embroidery in the past, but I haven't done anything with it for maybe seven years or so. So I think it's safe to assume that I will be able to withstand the temptation.

I suppose the mechanics of embroidery is pretty straightforward, which may make it less interesting to you?

Nah, that wasn't it. I just moved on to other things -- just like the whole LED electronics thing has moved waaay back on the agenda.
