On thursday, klik took the car to the garage for the yearly check-up. This is pretty expensive (about EUR 250), but it has to be done once a year. We take the car to a dealer-garage -- probably not the cheapest, but they're knowledgable and they've helped us out when someone had tried to set fire to the car, so we have little incentive to go elsewhere.
We got a call: the exhaust had to be fixed, or else it wouldn't get its road clearance. That was a whopping EUR 500! So I went to pick up the car, I had to pay EUR 782! It's a lot of money, but on the other hand, we won't get a new car for EUR 500... And we knew the car would be expensive. Luckily, I still had that much money on my account. Still, I would have liked to spend that money on something else.

Friday, a piece of my tooth broke off. I called my dentist, but at 14:00 he had already closed shop. WTF is up with that? Anyway, I called the emergency dentist-number, got the phonenumber of the dentist on call, called him, and told the lady on the phone what the problem was. She told me that normally, such things can wait until Monday. It didn't ache (still doesn't), so I'll be calling my dentist monday morning...

Friday evening, we went to Nunspeet, to celebrate the birthday of klik's mother. She threw a dinner party -- the food was delicious, and the company very pleasant. I don't know how the conversation got to the subject of our hobbies, but when I explained the system of fansubbing and the appeal of anime, one of Hein & Cora's friends got very interested. He seems to live by the adagium that you need to try everything at least once, so he invited me to send him some anime, so he could see what it was all about. I think I'll make a DVD of the first few episodes of Last Exile for him...

Today, we helped Cora with the shopping for tomorrow (the festivities for family), while Henk picked up his mother in Beverwijk. When we got back, it didn't take long for Henk to return. While I was going through our wedding album with grandma again (she wanted to order a picture, but when we showed her the album, we never got around to have her select a photo), klik ran up the stairs to get a new, small camera to take a picture. When she went downstairs again, she tripped and fell down the stairs. She hurt her knee, but luckily nothing else!

We returned to Nijmegen, and after some grocery shopping, got home at 18:00... Am tired now.
