The Umeda Sky Building Floating Garden Observatory (at 173 m) is a
designated dating spot, complete with a shop that sells heart-shaped locks
where you can have your names engraved. They even have a special frame where
you can leave the locks, so you pay for something you never get to really
own... Or maybe I'm just not romantically inclined.
The top floor, just below the roof, has panels describing other "sky"-themed
buildings around the world, so you can actually become smarter while you
date! Neat concept, that.

you don't seem the romantic sort, no. But buying a little lock in a building seems not very romantic to me either. A little place in a park, I could get that, but a wall in a building, that might be nice for my urn.

Well, it's not so much a spot on a wall as a rack outside at a height of 173 meters above the city. That must count for something, especially as the "Marriage Mother" (whatever that may mean) has dedicated the spot to love (with whatever authority she has). People even get married up there, so I guess it does mean something...
