New hobby...

gertvr had suggested that I would like doing papercuts. Working on a millimeter with sharp tools is certainly a skill I picked up from cutting stamps, and the barriers to entry are quite low. All you need is a pen knife (a few euros at a hobby shop), a cutting mat (which we already had) and some (colored) paper.
I searched around for some good sources of designs and found a few that I liked. I then print those out on the colored paper and cut them out along the lines... Not much to it!

The first papercut I did, a fantasy castle. The merlons gave me a bit of trouble -- they're kinda crooked. I stuck it on a page from the 'Once Upon A Time' mat stack from DCWV, and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. This became a card I sent to a member of the brievenbus community.

Playful kittens, for gertvr and xaviar_nl, to thank them for the advice on papercutting and their kind words after Grandma passed away. Stuck to a piece of cardstock from a stack that we had lying around.

Mother Goose, for babarage and J., for pretty much the same thing.

There was another design that I did, that got stolen by klik to use in her art journal.
