Evil! But amusing

Every TV currently being sold has an infrared remote control. The remote control flickers an IR LED in a certain pattern, forming codes that the TV interprets and acts upon. One of the codes is the old 'stand-by', which switches the TV off.

The TV-B-Gone is a small device with only one purpose: transmit the 'stand-by' signal for every TV in existence -- one of 'em is bound to turn the thing off. There is a high-power version, with four high-power IR LEDs -- increased range!

So what happens if you take one of those devices to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas? Hilarity ensues.
