New fence

Yesterday and today, our new fence was built. It consists of wooden poles with iron grating (the type used in reinforced concrete) in between. The idea is to let ivy grow in between the gaps for a natural, sheltered look.

And because this post would be meaningless without pictures:

We have a mat of willow branches closest to the house, for added privacy. The alcove to the left will probably be covered with a mosaic.

The small screen is meant to hide our garbage container. The ground slopes down there, so the last two screens are two notches lower than the ones toward the house.

The new gate. It's a good thing we're fenced in right now -- otherwise the sheep would eat everything in the garden!
