More interview questions

fluffball asked me these questions:

1. What part of Ing-sama do you find most atractive, personality wise?
The fact that she can say batshit-crazy things with a straight face. Or take something batshit-crazy thing you said, and run along with it.

2. Say you have unlimited resources (funds, labs, workers) What kind of research would you like to conduct?
I'm more of an engineer than a scientist. As such, I am more interested in building something that works than in conducting deeply fundamental research.
Given unlimited resources, I'd like to build portable fusion reactors, or hydrogen-powered engines. Obviously, a lot more research is needed to be able to build those things -- but the practical application is more important to me than the improved understanding that the research brings.

3. What part of your own personality do you find the least atractive?
My impatience with other people. When things don't go smoothly, I get impatient and annoyed. I learned to deal with this in a work setting (either that, or my current workplace is a place where everyone is as efficient as I want them to be -- and I know that isn't the case), but it still plagues me in a non-work/leisure setting.
For instance, when we are out geocaching, and someone is having trouble reading the GPS, or interpreting an instruction in the cache description, I get annoyed -- haven't they been paying attention? Am I the only one who cares about finding the cache? Why do I have to take care of everything?
It's a character trait that I have to work on continuously.

4. We all know you love anime, but if you had to choose, what would be your favourite western animation (movie or series)?
I could cheat my way out of here and mention Robotech, but that is debatable at best. ;)
When I was (much) younger, I really liked MASK, but I don't think it would hold up to repeat viewing...
I think I like Disney's Atlantis movie best, because it isn't as childish as most western animation is, and yet it does target a younger demographic. And it's an action movie, which means instant bonus points. Same with Titan AE (which has the added bonus of having Drew Barrymore voicing a main character), but I'm not such a fan of the Don Bluth drawing style.

5. You made a post about parenting. What do you think are the most important traits/abillities a parent should have?
Parents should be supportive of their children. Parents should coach their children to set realistic and productive goals, and reach those goals.

If, by now, you still don't know the drill with this interview meme, then you haven't spent enough time on LJ. Go read your friendspage back a 1000 entries or so. ;)
