Tales from Earthsea

- If you haven't read the books, a lot of the background will be lost on you. But that background isn't necessary to enjoy the movie -- it will only add to it.
- The visual quality is good, but not as excellent as I have come to expect from a Ghibli movie. Perhaps a budget issue. Gorgeous backgrounds, though. The blend of CGI and cell animation isn't always smooth.
- Excellent voice acting.
- As seems to be usual with anime at the Lux, the movie print was very bad. Perhaps they recycled a Belgian reel (there were also French subtitles).
- The projector guy cut off the ending credits somewhere in the middle.
