"Where are you now?"

Sometimes we get called on our mobile phones while caching. Often, the conversation starts with the question "Where are you?" (as is usual with conversations via mobile phones).
I always offer to read off the precise coordinates (can't get more precise than that in the field), but for some reason no-one seems to be really interested in the answer.

Why ask the question if you don't want to know the anwer?
